Our Veterinarians

Dr. Horton was born in Toronto, but raised on a farm from ages seven to seventeen in Peterborough where the desire to become a veterinarian was born. He graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph, class of 1973. He has owned the Colborne Veterinary Clinic since 1981 and the Delhi Animal Office since 1979. He sold the Delhi office in November 2005 to focus entirely on the Colborne practice.  Initially working in mixed practice, he now focuses on companion animals. His areas of special interest are orthopedics, dentistry and other surgeries, although is involved with every aspect of the practice. He has been married to Judy since 1973 and they have two children, Kaley and Tyler, and one unbelievable grandson, Karsten, born in 2000. The Horton’s also enjoy the company of their two cats, Thunder and Lightning and also two Shih Tsu pups named Emi  and Gryphon.  What a humorous pair they have turned out to be.

Dr. Arora --  Veterinarian

Dr. Arora is graduate from Veterinary School in 1996. He has been actively involved into the Veterinary Industry for almost 15 years  in different work environments. Most recently he was working at Niagara Veterinary Emergency Clinic  and another regular small animal Practice in Niagara Peninsula before he finally decided to join the team of Colborne Veterinary Clinic in 2010. Dr Arora enjoys working with animals. He loves to discuss preventative medicine and putting into the practice the most up-to-date services available to companion animal clients and patients.  In his spare time, he loves to read Veterinary magazines, search new information and articles online for latest advancements in Veterinary Profession. Dr. Arora acknowledges the importance of a team effort towards the veterinary care and educated staff that can deliver the services in a compassionate and caring manner. His areas of special interest are small animal medicine and surgery. He is been happily married to his loving wife Suman since 1999. He has two sons Ritvik and Vaib aged 8 and 5 respectively and a black Labrador dog" Leo". He enjoys driving, swimming, watching TV, playing with his kids and his mischievous dog.
